Welcome to Taxi Tours Scotland
Taxi Tours of Scotland welcome your arrival and hope to enhance your vacation in Scotland.
Our scenic landscape appears to be the most common reason for people visiting Scotland but there are always other reasons like
golfing, walking, visiting
whisky distilleries,
historical buildings, family ancestry and family roots.
Taxi tours in Scotland makes perfect sense for
whisky distillery tours. That does not omit anyone in the holiday group or family from participating in the entire experience.
The same goes for
historical buildings, such as castles and famous building or golf course tours. Simply driving yourself, omits the scenic pleasure and relaxation.
Everyone in the car is on vacation.
Unless you have multi booked various accommodations around Scotland. It does constrict travelling unless hiring a car or bringing a car. Taxi tours are relaxing.
As a driver myself. I see much more as a passenger. Driving means focus and local knowledge is very useful.
The locations most asked for tours are golf courses, whisky distilleries, cities like
Edinburgh,
Glasgow,
Inverness,
Dundee,
Aberdeen or basically a bespoke taxi tour, incorporating, a couple of distillery tours, a castle, nice restaurant and catch a sunset on the way back to your accommodation. Or countryside tours taking in small towns and the amazing dramatic scenery changes
The Highlands of Scotland are a great one-day tour and there is much to see and locations to visit. The scenery is the most dramatic in Scotland.
I have not met a golfer yet, who does not want to play The
Old Course St Andrews.
However, it is a public golf course and tee times are not so easy to get. Sure, go for it, if you are a golfer and good luck.
We hope you get that tee time you want and enjoy but there are literally
50 golf courses in Fife and some of the best golf courses to play are not in Fife. There are literally hundreds of very good golf courses that may not be famous but great fun to play.
There are over literally thousands of significant buildings, which encompass historical buildings and museums. That includes castles, palaces and baronial homes. Plus, buildings of notable interest. (IE) famous buildings by architecture or inhabitant.
We are a small country, and no matter where you are staying and even touring yourself, will not find everything in a single location in Scotland.
As a Scotsman, I know, if I want the best of everything I require to travel, not that far because the country is not so big.
I suppose, everyone has a different perspective, and one location might be fine, and I can understand that but if you do want to see and experience the best Scotland has to offer.
It is worth a day to choose at least one place to experience the wow factor.
Many places have an atmosphere that is incredibly strong. It depends on the location from incredible scenery to
battlefields and places like
Glen Coe. The scenery is an added extra whilst travelling to different locations. The
scenery changes from undulating and a rolling landscape to mountainous terrain. The sunrises can be as spectacular as the sunsets.
The people in Scotland as a rule are very friendly and helpful but there is a warmth that can be found outside of cities, and from east to west and north to south. It is not better; it is just different.
Apparently, our scenery is the number one reason for visiting Scotland.
Every region in Scotland is different. Perhaps it is the dramatic changes in scenery. Also,
ancestral roots is another reason. There are over 20 times the total population outside of Scotland, where people can claim Scottish roots and we are proud of them all, and pleased they have made the journey to Scotland, and we will help to find the original location from where their bloodline starts.
We get many people from all over the world. Approximately from 140 countries people visit on holiday and to study.
We hope we can be of assistance to you.
At Taxi Tours Scotland, we are focused on half and one day trips. It could mean an early start and a late return to your accommodation.
Or it could be half a day, depending on where and what you want to visit.
We do not do strict trips and clock watch.
If you decide to go off on a tangent, then that is where we go. It would not be the first or the last time.
Our aim is for you to enjoy yourselves and for you to carry good memories away with your expectations met or exceeded.
That is our mission.
